The battery slide is supplied as a self-assembly kit.
It can slide in a width of 44mm to 84mm be built. The length of the slide can also be adjusted to the battery.
During construction, the supplied dowel pins and a pegging system are used to assemble the parts at right angles and in a geometrically repeatable manner. This then results in very precisely fitting brackets and slides with a few 1/10th of a mm play.
This allows batteries from 2S to 10S (as a 10S block or 2 x 5S next to each other) to be attached to a slide. The slide itself is pushed onto a bracket which is firmly glued to the model. The bracket has four feet and two side wings (all extra long). Depending on the planned installation position, these 6 parts are shortened accordingly and glued to the fuselage wall.
This kit is used to connect a spare battery to the slide. Both parts can remain together permanently, even during the charging process. This eliminates the hassle of loosening the Velcro fasteners.
