EZFW scale 1:2.0, wheel 178 mm

Following the trend towards light yet sturdy landing gear, we have converted our entire range to retractable landing gear made of CFRP side plates and aluminium wheel legs. All components have been redesigned for low weight while remaining sturdy.

The side plates of the scale 1:2.0 landing gear with 178 mm wheel are made of 5.0 mm CFRP. All milled edges have a 45-degree chamfer, so the parts pose no risk of injury and feel very pleasant to the touch. Servo mounting lugs for a standard-size servo are fitted as standard on the left and right side plates. This means you do not need to buy extra servo mounts – the landing gear drive servo and the brake servo can be installed directly. M3 screws are intended for mounting; the matching servo holes are already provided in the servo mounts.

Weight-optimised and attractive design thanks to CNC-machined geometry. Due to the mechanical design, the wheel is firmly locked in both the extended and retracted positions, so centrifugal forces cannot extend the wheel, e.g. during a loop. In the undamped version, the landing gear is mounted in the glider between 2 formers

- in the damped version, the landing gear is attached to a main former in the glider; at the rear, the moving part of the landing gear is only guided sideways in a thin former
- the installation height of the EZFW in the fuselage is variable
- the moving parts run in brass bushings

The basic equipment consists of:
- the two side plates in 5.0 mm carbon
- the two swing arms in 5.0 mm aluminium, material AW-7075 (mirror-polished)
- the required spacer bolts
- servo mounts for two servos
- the swivel mechanism incl. drive lever
- the required stainless steel screws
- 1 solid rubber wheel 178 mm by FEMA (the FEMA wheel is already fitted with our ball bearing conversion kit)
- two front flange plates for attaching the landing gear to the main former
(these allow the landing gear to move backwards/upwards for rubber dampers/suspension)

The landing gear is modular and can be configured individually.
